Bruno Fernandes followed in the footsteps of Cristiano Ronaldo

The rookie of the Old Trafford team continues the tradition of using the Portuguese player of MU since Cristiano Ronaldo.
Joining Old Trafford, Bruno Fernandes is the fourth player MU has recruited directly from Sporting Lisbon throughout history. The first one is Cristiano Ronaldo . He came to MU for 17.1 million pounds in 2003.

The next star was Nani for £ 23 million in August 2007, and the nearest was defender Marcos Rojo for £ 18 million in the summer of 2014.

If measured in terms of nationality, Bruno Fernandes will be the fifth Portuguese player to wear MU. The first one is still CR7. After Ronaldo and Nani, Bebe and Diogo Dalot are the next names. It is not difficult to see apart from Ronaldo and partly Nani, both Bebe and Dalot are MU’s unsuccessful contracts.

According to the British press, Bruno Fernandes cost MU a total of 68 million pounds. The Portuguese midfielder will soon perform a medical examination and sign a 5-year contract with the Old Trafford team.

In this season, Bruno is still maintaining high form. He scored 15 goals and had 14 assists in just 28 matches for Sporting Lisbon. On January 28, during the match against Maritimo in the Portuguese national championship, Bruno started the game from the start, helping Sporting Lisbon to win the final 1-0.

Man Utd is currently ranked fifth in the Premier League rankings , 6 points behind the Champions League group .
