Dropbox, Google Drive or OneDrive? Here are the best cloud storage applications

If you have all your photos, music and videos on your smartphone, there is a risk that it will run out of space soon. Here are three useful applications that will allow you to safely transfer data to the cloud.

DROPBOX – For those who are not very familiar, dropbox is a service that hosts files. The company itself is located in San Francisco, California. Dropbox has won people hearts. To the extent of receiving the Macworld’s 2009 Editor’s choice Award for software and the Crunchie Award in 2010 for Best Internet Application.

How Dropbox works?

Well, for computers, dropbox creates a special folder on its harddisk that Synchronizes to Dropbox servers. Remember, this all happens after you have installed the dropbox software on your PC.

Similarly, for phones, it works that way too. Creating an account is free. Afterwards, you get 2gb free storage space. For premium users, they get a whooping 2tb of storage space. Additionally, they get additional features such as advanced sharing controls.

GOOGLE DRIVE -Quick intro to google drive. The service works similarly to Dropbox. Top pro is that google drive gives you 15 Gb free storage. That’s ample storage for basic stuff, like storing documents, a couple of fav tunes, etc. However, some people might find that to be insufficient storage.

Luckily, for a fee(which varies in different countries), you can upgrade the storage to 100 gb, 200 gb, 2tb, 10 tb, 20 tb and 30 tb. Files uploaded can be upto 5tb, each! In size i.e
