The Nvidia company , based in the United States (USA), will not send its employees to the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2020 , scheduled from February 24 to 27 in Barcelona, as a precaution against the spread of the coronavirus.
It thus becomes the third company that announces that it will not attend the Barcelona mobile congress after the Swedish technology manufacturer Ericsson and the Korean manufacturer LG Electronics have already done so. Nvidia has made this decision for “public health risks around the coronavirus.”
“Ensuring the safety of our colleagues, partners and customers is our main concern,” explains the company in a statement, in which it believes it has made “the right decision.”
In any case, thanks to the organizer of the fair, GSMA, “the continuous efforts to ensure the safety of all attendees.”
LG and Ericsson
After the decision of the Korean manufacturer LG Electronics not to participate in the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2020, as a precaution against the spread of the Chinese coronavirus outbreak, the second was the Swedish technology manufacturer Ericsson who announced that he would not attend the congress of Barcelona, which is held from February 24 to 27, as it considers that it cannot guarantee the safety of employees and visitors.
In this way, the company became the second largest international company that decided to withdraw from the MWC of 2020. In a statement, Ericsson explains that, following the outbreak and the continued spread of coranavirus, it has closely followed its development and adhered to the recommendations of the relevant national authorities and international organizations such as the World Health Organization (WHO).
