Revealing the interior and engine of Kia Sorento 2021

Before the official launch on March 3, the Kia Sorento 2021 interior and engine was revealed online.
This is the second time the Korean automaker has revealed the image of the Kia Sorento 2021, mostly in the interior. On the Kia website, the Sorento 2021 with the code name MQ4 is still posted as a drawing.

Interior Kia Sorento 2021 proved quite eye-catching. The dashboard is completely new design, suitable for the layout of a digital screen including clock cluster and infotainment system placed next to each other.

Central air vents are no longer entangled in the infotainment screen because they are located lower to the left and right of the temperature control knob.

The automatic shift lever is replaced by a more modern gearshift mechanism that takes up less front row space. Along with that, the rotary knob selects the driving mode. In addition to the central area there are buttons for electronic handbrake, start / stop system, steering wheel heating, seat heating and ventilation.

Regarding the engine, Korean Car Blog (Korea) said that Kia Sorento 2021 will be equipped with 2.5L naturally aspirated petrol engine, manual transmission or 6-speed automatic transmission.

The 1.6-liter turbocharged petrol engine will use a 6-speed automatic gearbox, driving 2WD and 4WD. Left 2.2L diesel engine version is labeled new “R” with 8-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox, drive 2WD or 4WD

The new Sorento electric version is called “MQ4_HEV”, most likely a hybrid electric vehicle, equipped with a 1.6-liter turbocharged engine, 6-speed automatic transmission, 2WD and 4WD drives.

Kia will officially launch the Sorento 2021 on March 3, ahead of the 2020 Geneva Motor Show.
