The intelligent chopping board has raised almost $ 2 million on Kickstarter

A collection for an intelligent chopping board has appeared on Kickstarter. The creators wanted to collect 10 thousand dollars. However, the results exceeded all expectations. Ultimately, they raised nearly $ 1.8 million after the project decided to support 13,000 people.

Smart refrigerators, dishwashers and washing machines no longer surprise anyone. After all, they are electrical devices associated with a lot of products that can be optimized to use. An intelligent chopping board seems like a fad. This is because it’s just a piece of plastic or wood. However, someone thought that technology could be useful here, after all, the chopping board is also associated with a large number of products and activities in the kitchen.

The result of this idea is ChopBox. The board is equipped with many ingenious solutions that make it extremely useful equipment. A weight, stopwatch and knife sharpener were built into it. These are standard ideas, but useful for every cook. A futuristic addition is the UVC lamp, which is supposed to kill 99.9% of bacteria and germs on the knife and the board itself. ChopBox is made of organic bamboo wood and consists of several interchangeable parts. It can last up to 30 days on a single charge. The equipment is of course waterproof, but it should not be washed in the dishwasher. The price of one smart board was set at 99 dollars. The premiere is scheduled for December this year.

Interest in an intelligent board on Kickstarter has exceeded the creators’ wildest expectations. The Yes Company planned to raise for the project 10 thousand dollars. They managed to achieve the goal within 10 minutes of starting the collection . Finally, on account of 13 015 people, they raised 1 794 958 US dollars. The creators may have a big problem with the implementation of this order, but they won’t complain about it.
