Different from the gloomy situation at the beginning of 2019, Apple is witnessing the growth beyond the expectations of iPhone sales in China.
According to Apple Insider , Apple ‘s phone sales in China have bounced back for the first time since 2015 after consecutive quarters of declines.
Bloomberg reported iPhone sales increased by 18.7%, with about 3.18 million units sold.
Notably, also according to this data, the total number of smartphones sold in the market in China still shows signs of going down with a 13.7% decrease.
Bloomberg said the results are based on data from the China Academy of Information Technology and Communications (CAICT). According to CAICT data, in 2019, there were more than 389 million phone shipments sold in China, including about 13 million smartphones equipped with 5G networks.
Earlier, at the beginning of 2019, Apple was forced to lower its revenue forecast for investors because of declining iPhone sales in China.
Apple claims it now expects revenue results to reach around $ 84 billion in the next quarters, instead of previously estimated at $ 89-93 billion .
With iPhone sales declining, Apple had to cut iPhone prices in China in January 2019, and continued another discount in early March 2019.
