Visa acquires fintech company Plaid for $ 5.3 billion

Founded in 2012, Plaid uses API products to help users associate bank accounts with fintech applications such as Venmo, Robinhood, Coinbase, and Acorns to share information and data. In December 2018, Plaid announced the completion of a $ 250 million Series C financing led by Internet Queen Mary Meeker. Walmart will add 650 robot stores
